Step 1
Firstly, you'll need to find a pillow case because this is suitable for most species but you can use a smaller snake bag or cricket tub for hatchlings and a duvet cover for large snakes.
Step 2
Open the pillow case so it makes it easier to place the snake inside and of course don't forget to get your Snake.
Step 3
Simply place your snake inside the pillow case, try to do this quickly and calmly because most snakes will try to escape the pillow case.
Step 4
Once the snake is in the pillow case, make sure the pillow case is on a surface and have it fully stretched out leaving the snake at the bottom and the opening in your hands at the top.
Step 5
Please note that although the picture shows the pillow case is laid out, this step should be done in your hand (the snake used here was well behaved and did not flee).
Here at Enigma Reptiles we fold the opening of the pillow case over 2-3 times before making to folds on the sides to make a knot with.

Step 6
As you can see here, the knot has been made and the snake is safe and secure inside the pillow case. The knot has been pulled as tight as possible.
Step 7
Now that your Snake is safe and secured inside your bag, it is ready to be transported. If you won't be in control of the snake for the entire trip then it is advised that you place the pillow case with the snake inside, in to a ventilated Really Useful Box, big enough for the snake to fit inside.
